Play BS with sounds effects and muzak on
From another phonen call the iphone where you’re playing BS
Cancel the phone call from your iphone (didn’t try to answer it but you may also test it this way)
Result : you’re back at where you left, the muzak is playing but the sounds effects are gone.

Yes, this is part of the lack of multi-tasking support in the version you received. It has been fixed now (except for a minor issue). You will receive a BSONEbeta2.ipa file when it is solved 🙂
