  1. Such outstanding memories here. I loved the Amiga version, and consequently (although not quite as much) the Sega Genesis version.

For newcomers, make sure you don’t just skip the “death” screen. One of my favorite video game music pieces of all time hands down.

Thanks for all the hard work on this iOS port. Fantastic stuff!

    1. Hi Jason,
Thanks 🙂 Very happy you like it and you’re absolutly right the game-over tune is a great music piece. It fits the high-score list in a great and memorable way 🙂
      Cheers

    1. Hi Jonas, Great to hear. Thanks 🙂 Yes, we have looked a bit into the iCade. There are however a few other other “upgrades” we will finish up first 🙂

      1. Getting icade support for the game would make it a perfect retro experience – thanks for porting the game to iOS, bringing back memories of playing this game first time round on the Amiga. Will be good to see hubris as well 🙂

  2. Little typo in the intro text on all leaderboard pages “…with (the) rest of the game…”

  3. What a great game! Really tickles my retro bone.
Didn’t own an amiga when I was younger, but this game gives me nice nostalgic flashback to all the hours I spent at the local arcades back in the day.

I finally beat the game as Cadet, and is currently holding a #11 on the leader boards. Yay. 🙂
Doesn’t show on this site yet though, how often does the leader boards update here on the site?

Thx for a great game. Now onto Lieutenant difficulty. Tried Squadron Leader the other day, but didn’t make it far… I think I am honing my skills pretty good, though, and I’ll soon be ready to take it on at the hardest difficulty level… 🙂

    1. Hi Jan, Great to hear from very positive newcomer to Battle Squadron ONE 🙂 We update the charts every day at around 18h00 CET plus, minus, so you should be on there soon 🙂 Thanks again, Martin

  4. ah, it is great, but i was a liiittle disapointed with tilt-controls. i was expecting a fixed speed in each direction after a certain degrees of tilting, think that would be better. As “jin” said, touch is amazing though 🙂 I must work now, i just spent 30 minutes at the office playing, tss

    1. Hi Conrad, If you are playing Battle Squadron ONE in the office, then maybe a bit risky to use your full name on a public site… but we will remain quiet 😉 The tilt based control is very much implemented to match the Amiga controls. But maybe it is better if we upgrade it like you an Jin suggest. I will put it on the list for a future revisions. Thanks for your feedback 🙂 P.S. If you did not already do so, it would be very much appreciated if you rate BS ONE on the App Store… Thanks.
