HYBRIS
Copyright 1987, 2025 Cope-Com

Hi,
For some reason I came to think of Hybris when having a nostalgic moment the other day and had to google it. Remember back in the day when a friend got his first Amiga 500 and the feeling I had playing Hybris at his house! That whole era, at least for me, represents the cradle of gaming and it is great that ppl like yourself are still keeping the classics alive! 🙂
Unfortunately I never actually bought the game as all games and software were sourced from the, at the time, emerging BBS scene.
Will however gladly pay for the android version this time around, some odd 20+ years later, but who’s counting! 😉
Thanks once again for your contribution to game/gaming history, you are a legend! 🙂
Br,
Martin
Hi Martin, Great that you found your way to our site… and thanks for your comments 🙂 Yes, we will be sure to get Hybris to you soon… for an actual purchase this time 😉 If you can’t wait and are up for some nostalgia then check out our sequel to Hybris, namely Battle Squadron!!
Thanks again,
Martin (another one)
Will Hybris allow for manual shooting using physical controls? I have a tablet with hardware gaming controls and was a bit disappointed that they didn’t work with Battle Squadron.
Any update on the ETA on this?
Hi Joe,
We are currently working on a date for an ETA. We have been a little delayed over the summer. Hope you all hang in there as Hybris looks really great 🙂
Cheers
Still a work in progress or has this been abandoned?
Hi Joe, the good news is that Hybris is more than 50% done regarding the conversion. All basic things are done 🙂 The challenge to find the time to finish it up 😉 We are still hoping to find the time, but at this point we cannot guarantee it will be possible. Please stay tuned here 🙂 Martin
I hope that the smartphone version won’t interrupt the fabulous music by Paul Van Der Valk ! It was Hybris’ only problem. Poor, courageous Paula : four voices were too few.
arf i was a great fan of battle squadron (amiga and megadrive) and hybris (completly finished on amiga).
I remember having extracted the musics of those two games, and the sprites. Having finished them so many times. With z-out and jim power, it was the best shoot for amiga.
I play sometimes on emulators, and on ipad ( your conversion was great even if not totally amiga perfect for me 😉 )
i wait for hybris one, really wait 🙂
and be careful for battle squadron 2, a prequel of such a great game is hard to do without failing 🙂
keep up the good work
